Personal Care at Home in Chester-le-Street and Gateshead
Help with the private, everyday routines that keep you feeling like yourself: washing, dressing, grooming and getting about safely. Our carers are trained to give this support gently, respectfully and always at your pace.

What Is Personal Care?
Personal care means practical help with intimate daily tasks such as bathing, dressing, using the toilet and moving around the home. It is a regulated activity, which is why every personal care package we deliver sits under our CQC registration with a written care plan, risk assessments and daily records overseen by our registered manager in Birtley.
Needing this kind of help does not mean losing control. You decide how things are done, who helps you and what stays private.
Who We Support
Older people who find washing, dressing or bathing harder than they used to
Adults living with a physical disability or reduced mobility
People living with dementia who need calm, familiar routines
Anyone recovering after surgery, illness or a hospital stay
People with continence needs who want discreet, dignified support
Family carers who need trusted help with personal tasks
How Our Carers Can Help
Washing and bathing: Support with a bath, shower or wash at the basin, as much or as little as you need.
Dressing and undressing: Help choosing and putting on clothes, with your preferences respected.
Grooming: Hair care, shaving, skin care, nail care and oral hygiene.
Continence care: Discreet support with toileting, continence products and skin health.
Mobility and transfers: Safe help to stand, walk, use equipment and move between bed and chair.
Getting up and going to bed: Comfortable, unhurried morning and evening routines.
Skin and pressure care: Repositioning and checks to protect skin and comfort.

Dignity, Privacy and Choice Come First
Personal care is the most private support we provide, so we take it seriously. Before care begins we talk through exactly what help you want, how you like things done and any preferences about the carer who supports you, such as a carer of the same sex where possible.
Our carers explain each step, ask before they act and keep doors closed, towels ready and conversation kind. Care never starts without your consent, and your care plan records the choices you have made so every carer follows them.
Trained and Trusted Carers
Every carer who provides personal care is recruited through safer recruitment with an enhanced DBS check and references, then trained in moving and handling, infection control, continence care, safeguarding and dementia awareness. Supervisions, spot checks and 24/7 on-call management keep standards high, and we match you with a small team so the same familiar faces visit.
