What Is Live-in Care?

A live-in carer moves into your home, usually on a rotation of several weeks, to provide personalised support throughout the day and reassurance through the night. Instead of short visits, you have one person focused entirely on you, who learns your routines, your preferences and the little things that make home feel like home.

Every live-in package is delivered under our CQC registration, with a full assessment, a written care plan, risk assessments, daily records and regular visits from our management team in Birtley.

Live-in Care, Visiting Care or 24-Hour Care?

Visiting home care

Planned visits at set times. Best when someone is safe alone between calls.

Our focus

Live-in care

One carer living in the home, supporting throughout the day, resting at night and on hand if needed. Best when someone should not be alone for long periods.

24-hour waking care

Two or more carers working in shifts so someone is awake all night. Best for frequent night-time needs or complex care.

Not sure which fits? We will talk it through honestly at assessment and recommend the safest option, even if that is not live-in care.

The Right Carer, Not Just a Carer

We match every live-in carer to the person they support, taking into account personality, interests, language, culture and the type of support needed. You meet or speak with your carer before care begins wherever possible, and a small team of regular carers covers rotations so faces stay familiar.

Your carer is DBS-checked, trained in moving and handling, medication, safeguarding and dementia awareness, and backed by supervision, spot checks and 24/7 on-call management.
